Physical Therapy

Physical Therapists are movement specialists that can help diagnose and determine the root cause of your pain or problem. Our rehab team provides one-on-one, personalized care to address your specific needs and tailors your program accordingly. We provide rehabilitation following surgery, injury, accident, hospitalization, or just waking up with pain. We work with individuals suffering from arthritis, back pain, neck pain, hip pain, knee pain, and any other pain that is bothering you. At Dallas County Hospital, we offer specialized services including Dry Needling, Treatment of Vertigo, TMJ (jaw) pain, Lyphedema, and Incontinence. Sports Medicine services are provided to the local high school including event coverage, free injury screens, and concussion management.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) enable people of all ages to live life to its fullest by helping them promote health, and prevent—or live more fully with—injury, illness, or disability. OTs and OTAs see physical therapy for physical disabilities such as fractures, hand injuries, arthritis; cognitive impairments such as stroke, TBI, dementia; Activities of  Daily Living (ADL) limitations including dressing, bathing, toileting, grooming, feeding, transfers; Instrumental ADL (IADL) limitations such as home making, cooking, bills, cleaning, child care, medication management.

Speech Therapy

Our speech therapists are professionals educated in the study of human communication, its development, and its disorders. By evaluating the speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing skills of children and adults, our speech therapist determine what communication or swallowing problems exist and the best way to treat them. We provide rehabilitation to improve speech, cognition, and address issues with swallowing. Our speech therapist is certified in performing Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing Studies.
